The customer contacted me to build a twin size loft bed for his son. He wanted it long enough to fit a futon underneath. It took over 45 pieces of wood and many 14-20 pieces of knock down hardware to assemble. the challenge was to make it sturdy over a longer span. Also, as the mattress was not long enough, it was decided to add a short bookcase at one end. The original plan called for a 7 foot height, but that would leave only a foot of head clearance. It was lowered to 6 feet. I was not aware that there was a ceiling fan in the room which may be of some concern. The customer and his son were advised of this concern. You can see a part of the fan in one photo.
